Welcome to the First Canadian Packrafting Roundup Event. We are thrilled to have an event dedicated to the packrafting community in Canada. The first edition of the roundup will be held in beautiful Mount Robson provincial park, British Columbia.
For its first edition, the packrafting roundup will be a casual gathering of packraft enthusiasts. The roundup is a non-for-profit event organized by volunteers and not affiliated to any organization or brand. Therefore, we ask that participants be over 18 years old (unless with a parent or guardian) and have prior packrafting or whitewater experience as there will be no course or guiding at the roundup.
All participants are expected to be familiar with basic whitewater rescue, self-rescue and paddling techniques. Participants will be limited to 50. Online registration will be available until August 28 or when we hit 50 registered participants.
Since the organizers are all volunteers and want to have a fun weekend too, we would like for every participant to come with a “ready-to-help” mindset, having conducted prior research on the local rivers and not expecting to be directed and guided all weekend. We see this event as a fun way to meet other like-minded packrafters and outdoor-enthusiasts and as a basis to plan more trips and gatherings in the future.
See you in Mount Robson provincial park in August!
